About the Group

Ballarat North Neighbourhood House invites you to participate in peer-led education sessions for people living with disability and chronic illness.

Gather, learn, and support each other in a safe and accessible space. Entry is free and no booking is required.

Each session will have a guest speaker and focus on topics related to disability, chronic illness, accessibility, and available supports. Participants are free to suggest topics and speakers, and to take the lead as guest speaker themselves.

Activity is organised and facilitated by Libby. Libby is a learning professional with over fifteen years’ experience, as well as a disability advocate, public speaker, and published writer. She lives with a vision impairment, two psychosocial disabilities, Fibromyalgia, and a Functional Neurological Disorder.

Hosted in the newly-renovated Hugh Williamson House in Lydiard St, Ballarat. The meeting room includes all-gender, accessible toilets and a lift. Free Wi-Fi, tea, and coffee are provided.

The group can also be remotely attended via Zoom. Email the Program Coordinator at sophie@bnnh.org.au for the meeting ID, and for any other technical support. You can also phone on 0419 293 897.
